OGP has one of the very few RICS Dispute Advisors and Party Representatives in-house.  The RICS program was launched for the first time in 2023, of which our Director, Steven Pyrke was one of the very first cohorts to undertake the RICS training in this area of dispute support services, with full RICS accreditation expected in the summer of 2024.

The Advisors and Representatives team is responsible for working with our subcontract partners in advising and conducting the early stages in various dispute resolution procedures under leading international standards, ensuring the highest level of expertise and professionalism, governed by strict rules of conduct.

  • Providing clients with one-off advice or being retained routinely to advise clients 
  • Advising clients and conducting the early stages in the dispute resolution process
  • Drafting appropriate contracts / advising on risk  
  • Pre-emptive advice
  • Advising on appropriate ADR procedure(s)

Professional Representation

OGP is often engaged in various roles as charted quantity surveyors and/or construction law advisors engaged to represent parties in legal or ADR proceedings. Our team can work with you on:

  • Agreeing priorities, timescales and resources
  • Settlement Options – Negotiating settlement offers – without prejudice
  • Draft submissions, statements of case, and/or position statements
  • Advise on statutory, judicial and/or contractual rules
